Wiggins will be the headline act at the Manchester event |
Triple Olympic medallist Bradley Wiggins will make his first major track appearance in Britain since Athens at the Manchester Velodrome on 23 October. Wiggins, who won gold, silver and bronze at the Games in August, revealed this week he will compete at the Revolution 5 event.
Fellow Olympic gold medallist Chris Hoy has already committed to taking part.
And Rob Hayles, with whom Wiggins won bronze in Greece, is among a raft of other top Britons set to compete.
The event also marks the 10th anniversary of the Manchester Velodrome.
