|  Hamilton posted his first race win of the season | Tyler Hamilton comfortably beat his rivals in the final stage of the Tour of Romandy to take overall victory for the second year running. The American completed the time trial through Lausanne in 26 minutes 29 seconds, over half a minute ahead of Australia's Bradley McGee. Switzerland's Fabian Jeker finished second overall, while Italian climber Leonardo Piepoli was third. Hamilton's Swiss-based Phonak team took the team trophy.
