Santiago Perez won his second consecutive stage of the Tour of Spain with victory in Sunday's time trial. Perez - who dedicated his win on Saturday to his fiancee who died in 2003 - clocked the fastest time for the 29.6km from Granada to Sierra Nevada.
"Now I can include myself in the group of favourites and want at least to stay on the podium," said the Phonak rider who is now third overall.
Spain's Roberto Heras retains the race lead from Alejandro Valverde.
