Ullrich to skip Dutch race
| Ullrich struggled in the Tour de Cologne | T-Mobile cyclist Jan Ullrich will sit out Sunday's World Cup race in Holland to concentrate on preparing for this year's Tour de France. Ullrich, who won the Tour in 1997 and was runner-up last year, has made dethroning five-time winner Lance Armstrong his target for this season But the 30-year-old failed to finish in the recent Tour of Cologne and has been accused of being out of shape. "He is too heavy and needs more races," said five-time Tour winner Eddy Merckx. T-Mobile are hopeful that their Italian rider Paolo Savadelli will be fit for the Tour de France despite breaking his right wrist in a fall in the Tour de Cologne.
