Swiss rider Beat Zberg won the second stage of the Tour of the Basque country in a sprint finish on Tuesday. The Gerolsteiner team rider worked his way to the front 300m from the line and produced a burst of power to hold off the rest of the sprinting pack.
Spaniard Samuel Sanchez was second for the Basque Euskatel-Euskadi team, with Italian Mauricio Ardila third.
Italy's Danilo di Luca of the Saeco team is the new overall leader after crossing the line fourth.
