David Millar says he has nothing to worry about as French police continue their doping investigation into his Cofidis cycling team. The Scot believes the arrests of several Cofidis members on suspicion of using and distributing banned drugs are "isolated" cases and do not reflect the way the team is managed.
"All I can say is that it's not a Cofidis problem, and it's certainly got nothing to do with me," said the world time trial champion.
Riders Cedric Vasseur and Philippe Gaumont were arrested on Tuesday on their way back from the team's training camp.
Last week saw the arrests of two other team members and the team's physio last week.
Millar said: "I'm surprised to hear about police questioning Philippe and Cedric - I know both of them and get on really well with them. It's strange, very strange.
"The press are implying all sorts of things but I know it's not a Cofidis problem. I repeat what I said last week - it's isolated cases in the team, but not a team problem."
He added: "I can't comment on what some other guys in the team have done. But I'm not worried about it.
"I've got enough stress worrying about my own plans for this season to worry about what's going on with them."
