The Italian rider was sacked by Fasso Bartolo last season for admitting possession of performance-enhancing drugs. Frigo rewarded their faith with 10th overall in this year's Giro d'Italia, in what proved to be a successful race for the team.
Team-mate Eddy Mazzoleni also squeezed into the top 15. But the team look unlikely to have the balance throughout to cause a massive impact in this year's Tour de France. In what is their first time in the race, nothing much is expected from the Italian outfit. The 33-year-old Gianluca Bartolami adds the experience needed to the team. Andrej Hauptman, the Slovenian rider, offers the possibility of a breakaway stage win. | |
