Foster missed out on becoming world number one |
Scotland's Paul Foster is out of the Welsh Open after losing to Englishman Robert Chisholm in the semi-final. The Troon bowler also missed out on claiming world number one status, which would have come with a final berth. Chisholm, from Newcastle, won in two sets 7-4, 9-3 and now faces Simon Skelton in the final. Skelton was the conqueror of number one seed Mark Royal in his quarter-final tie, and beat Australian Kelvin Kerkow to make the final in Swansea.
