Despite two defeats, Alison Merrien is through to the finals of the Bowls Indoor World Cup but husband Ian just missed out on a place.

Merrien lost her final group stage game to Karen Murphy of host country Australia on Sunday.

Ian needed a top-four finish to qualify but ended up fifth in his group despite winning his last three games.

Alison faces Spain's Lynne Metcalfe in the first game of the final round on Tuesday, 15 April.
