Suffolk's Mark Royal claimed his first World Bowls Tour title after beating fellow Englishman Greg Harlow in the final of the Welsh International Open. The 13th seed, 33, described his 7-5, 11-6 triumph at the Selwyn Samuel Centre in Llanelli as "magic". "I bowled some of the best woods in my life this week - it's definitely been my best season ever," said Royal. Runner-up Harlow ended home hopes in the semi-final when he beat Wales' Jason Greenslade, the fifth seed.
