Mersey Tigers clawed back a 10 point deficit in the final quarter to tie the first leg of Wednesday's BBL Trophy semi-final against Newcastle. The Eagles were leading 64-54 going into the final quarter of the match but a Nate Reinking three-pointer capped the Tigers comeback. Top scorer on the night was Newcastle's Joe Chapman with 22, while Reinking scored 20 points for the Tigers. The second leg will be played in Newcastle on Friday, 28 January.
