Love became head coach of the Raiders in June

Plymouth Raiders boss Gavin Love has been named the BBL coach of the month for December.

Love led the Raiders to three wins from four games last month, as the Devon side rose to eighth in the BBL table.

Raiders chairman Bob Widdecombe said: "This award is a fantastic recognition for Gavin.

"We've been thoroughly impressed with both him off court, and performances on it, so this will hopefully be the first of many achievements for Gavin."

Love said: "This reward is testament to the teams' recent form and we've worked hard to get to the point we are.

"The individual players have dedicated themselves to the club and are buying to my coaching philosophies, the results of which have been fantastic performances."

The Raiders return to action this Saturday away at Worthing Thunder.
