Rob Paternostro guided Leicester Riders to the play-offs last season

Leicester Riders coach Rob Paternostro says Saturday's high-flying opponents Mersey Tigers will provide the toughest possible test for his in-form side.

Tigers have won eight out of their last nine games and are second in the BBL while Riders have won their last four.

"I have been very impressed with Mersey this season," Paternostro said ahead of the game at the John Sandford Centre.

"They have a lot of talent and are a very intelligent team who can beat you in many different ways."

Paternostro added: "Their coach Tony Garbelotto has done a great job so far this season.

"He has them playing together and that is very evident when you watch them play."
