GB coaches Chris Finch and Nick Nurse will go head to head in the NBA's Developmental League All-Star game.

The game will take place in Dallas on 13 February, one day before the NBA's All-Star game and will serve as a showcase for D-League players.

Finch has led the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to the top of the western conference in his first year as coach.

Nurse's Iowa Energy have the league's best record, having won 22 of their 28 games this season.

The two teams for the game were selected through a combination of online voting from D-League fans and selections made by the league's coaches.

The two coaches, firm friends since their days playing and coaching in the British Basketball League, recently went head-to-head twice .

Finch, who has been Great Britain's head coach since 2006, emerged victorious in both games over his GB assistant despite both games being in Iowa.

Both coaches will have three of their own players in their respective line-ups for the all-star game.

The pair's head-to-head means that for the second time in four years, Great Britain will be able to claim a D-League All-Star winner.

GB forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu was named the 2007 game's Most Valuable Player when he was chosen to take part while playing for the D-League's Fort Wayne Fury.
