Weirzbicki top-scored in the in win over Sheffield
Leicester guard Bradd Weirzbicki says the Riders are full of confidence after the 113-93 win over Sheffield Sharks on the opening day of the season.
The Riders now travel to take on reigning champions Newcastle Eagles on Friday before entertaining Everton Tigers on Saturday.
Weirzbicki told BBC Radio Leicester: "It'll be a tough test at Newcastle and as it's Everton's first game it might give us a slight advantage."
The American has spent the off-season working on improving his strength when pushing towards the basket and saw immediate rewards by scoring 32 points in the win over the Sharks.
"It was one of the things I worked hard on over the summer," said Weirzbicki.
"Last year I was getting bumped off the ball a little more than I would have liked."
