Leicester Riders ended their season with a thrilling overtime victory away against Cheshire Jets to secure 10th spot in the BBL table.

Jets started brightly and led 44-42 at half-time.

Riders edged ahead 61-65 at the end of the third but could not hold on to a 74-80 lead in the final stanza.

That forced overtime in a frantic finale but Mindaugas Janiska kept his nerve from the free-throw line to ensure the Riders took the points.

On Saturday, Riders were unable to prevent Guildford Heat securing the runners-up spot.

After a tight opening period Heat closed the second quarter with a 5-0 burst to lead 48-43 and the visitors never looked back, cruising to a 82-99 victory.
