Leicester Riders suffered an agonising 67-66 defeat away to fellow play-off hopefuls Worcester Wolves. Wolves cruised the first quarter, finishing with a 7-0 run to lead 27-10 and they extended that to 42-16.
Riders rallied, scoring the last 12 points of the first half and an amazing 31-4 run across two quarters had the game neck and neck.
But Worcester grabbed the victory when James Life kept his nerve from the free-throw line.
Anthony Paez top-scored with 23 points for Wolves while Chad McKnight and Carlo White led the resistance with 16 points apiece for Riders.
