Plymouth Raiders missed out on the chance to claim outright second spot in the BBL as they went down 84-74 to Everton Tigers on Friday night. A previously close contest went away from the visitors in the final quarter as a 10-point burst from David Aliu stretched a 60-59 third interval lead.
The Raiders did briefly close to 78-74 with still more than minute left.
But, despite Gaylon Moore's individual 23-point haul for the Plymouth side, the men from Merseyside held on.
The defeat leaves the Raiders tied for third, but on the same points mark as three other clubs, and still four adrift of leaders Newcastle Eagles.
