Newcastle Eagles ended Chester Jets' domination of the BBL Trophy with a 92-87 win to book a spot in the final. The Jets, winners of the trophy for the past four years, raced to a 26-15 lead, but Newcastle forced overtime thanks to 12 late points from Charles Smith.
Smith finished with 26 points and Andrew Bridge added 21 as the Eagles pulled clear in overtime.
They will now play Brighton, who reached their second-straight final with an 87-84 win over London Towers.
