Jackson helped the Rams secure a much-needed second win of the season
St Louis Rams caused their second major upset in as many outings with a 34-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Running back Steven Jackson scored three touchdowns in a comfortable win for the Rams, who shocked the Washington Redskins 19-17 last Sunday.
Cowboys quarterback Brad Johnson, filling in for Tony Romo, had a game to forget and was intercepted three times.
The 40-year-old made just 17 of 34 passes and was sacked three times and threw three interceptions.
Romo, who had started 32 consecutive games for the Cowboys, warmed up for the game but did not play.
He broke a finger in his throwing hand during the 30-24 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals last time out.
The Rams dismissed coach Scott Linehan after losing their opening four matches this season but have now won for the second week running under interim coach Jim Haslett.
