Rayner admiited to feeling nervous before his decisive kick

The match-winning kick, which came with just one minute, 34 seconds left, keeps alive Green Bay's play-off hopes.

Rayner kicked all of Green Bay's points while Fred Smoot returned a Brett Favre interception 47 yards for Minnesota's only touchdown in the third quarter.

Quarterback Favre completed 26 of 50 passes in what may have been his final game at Lambeau Field.

The Packers restricted the Vikings to just 103 yards of total offence and three first downs but struggled to get in the endzone despite numerous chances.

Rayner kicked a field goal in the first and second quarters but Minnesota took the lead with Smoot's score.

And after two earlier misses, Rayner admitted he was feeling the tension when he stepped up for his final attempt.

"It's probably the most nervous I've ever been in my entire life, but it worked out," he said.
