Lincolnshire teenager Georgie Twigg has been named as part of the Great Britain Ladies Under 21 hockey team. Twigg, from Doddington, flies to Spain this week to train for next month's Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney, Australia. The 18-year-old law student told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The Youth Olympics are a really good chance to experience what the real ones are like." "They try and make it as similar to the real ones as possible." Twigg has already represented England at Under 16 and captained at Under 18 level. The team will play Australia, China and New Zealand. Three Lincolnshire boys have been selected for the England Under 16 squad. David Overton, Greg Nolan and Sam Temple-Baxter will now take part in warm weather training in Gibraltar, an Easter Four Nations Tournament and Test matches against international opposition.
