Britain's Georgina Harland struck won gold in the latest round of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup in Somerset. The 2004 Olympic bronze medallist, who turned 29 on Saturday, won the title in what was her first event of the year.
Harland said: "It means an awful lot to win, to be on home soil surrounded by my family and everyone that has supported me over the past few years.
"Although I've medalled numerous times since Athens, it's great to actually be on top of the podium again."
The event at Millfield - the third of six World Cup rounds in 2007 - marked the start of Britain's qualifying process for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
Olympic team manager Dominic Mahony said: "It's brilliant to see Georgina take gold at her first event of the year - we're extremely proud of her performance."
