Consistent Taylor savours victory
Leon Taylor
Taylor said the conditions played a factor
Olympic silver medallist Leon Taylor took gold in the men's platform event at the Fina diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday.

The Briton scored 489.57 points over six dives to edge out China's Feng Qi.

"I was just consistent. I didn't really have a mark under 7.5," said Taylor, who was second in the platform synchronized diving event in Athens.

"But this was outdoors, a little bit windy, and the conditions make it a bit tougher for everyone."

German Heiko Meyer of Germany won bronze.
