Suk was a big hit in Italy |
Respected South Korean Dong Eun Suk is British archery's new head coach. The 50-year-old takes over after a successful 11-year spell with the Italian national squad.
Suk guided Italian archers to gold medals at the last world outdoor and indoor championships as well as the Olympic Games in Athens.
"This is a fantastic coup for us and we're very excited," said Grand National Archery Society chief executive David Sherratt.
"It's also a very ambitious appointment, but that reflects the ambition of British archery after our success at the Athens Olympics."
Alison Williamson won a bronze medal in Greece while Laurence Godfrey reached the semi-finals in the men's singles.
Great Britain performance director Barry Eley was also happy with Suk's arrival.
"His appointment has gone down very well with our leading archers, most of whom met him for the first time at last weekend's European Grand Prix event in Turkey," said Eley.
