Swimmers compete in the triathlon
Peter Robertson and Emma Snowsill made it a double Australian triumph, winning the men's and women's titles at the World Triathlon Championships in Japan.

Robertson won his third title in a time of one hour 49 minutes and 31 seconds, just ahead of Swizterland's Reto Hug.

Australia's Brad Kahlefeldt was third, with Olympic champion Hamish Carter of New Zealand fourth.

Snowsill came home well ahead of fellow Australian Annabel Luxford and American Laura Bennett in 1:58.03.

Great Britain took three of the top-10 places in the women's event.

Andrea Whitcombe led the side home in seventh with Liz Blatchford a place behind her and Michelle Dillon 10th.

In the men's event, Andrew Johns was brought down on the bike leg and Tim Don dropped out with heat exhaustion while lying in second place.

Stuart Hayes was Britain's first man home as he finished in 15th place.
