Pyeongchang in South Korea has joined the list of cities planning a bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. The city, around 100 miles east of Seoul, narrowly lost out to Vancouver in Canada for the 2010 Olympics.
The Korean Olympic Committee will endorse the choice and send an official application next July.
Other cities that have declared an interest for 2014 include Tromsoe in Norway, Bulgarian capital Sofia and Austrian duo Innsbruck and Salzburg.
