Andy Fordham will begin the defence of his BDO Lakeside World Darts crown with a match against Dutchman Vincent van der Voort on New Year's Day. Unseeded Fordham, who recently made a comeback from a wrist injury, faces a tough test against the eighth seed.
Three-time champion Raymond Barneveld of Holland begins his campaign against Scotland's Gary Anderson.
Second seed Ted Hankey faces American John Kuczynski, while 2004 runner-up Mervyn King takes on Wayne Warren.
Fordham was unable to complete his challenge match against rival world champion Phil Taylor at Purfleet last month after suffering breathing difficulties.
But the event's organisers have insisted he will be ready for action at Lakeside.
