Brighton Bears and the Scottish Rocks will meet in the 2005 BBL Cup Final after claiming semi-final victories. The Bears booked their berth in the final with a 78-68 triumph over Milton Keynes Lions, while the Rocks saw off Chester Jets 90-75.
Both final-four ties were played at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield on Sunday.
The final itself takes place on Sunday, 16 January at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.
Brighton took control with a 13-0 tear in the second quarter to take a 36-22 lead.
Head coach Nick Nurse was delighted to make the Final, but said he was not happy with the first or final quarter performances.
"But the second period gave us a good enough lead to defend for the rest of the game," he said.
A 25-7 run by the Rocks either side of half-time saw them take a 50-47 lead thanks in no small part to Lamont McIntosh, who netted 31 points in the game.
Coach Steve Swanson said: "He is a rookie to the BBL, but he is a seriously big-time player, and we are building a team around him."
