Droopys wins for Ireland
Droopys Scholes made a late burst to win the 2004 William Hill Greyhound Derby at Wimbledon for Irish trainer Ian Reilly.

The 7-2 shot came out of trap three and overhauled long-time leader Tims Crow on the final bend.

Big Freeze put in a fast finish on the home straight but could not catch Droopys Scholes, who won the 100,000 race by three-quarters of a length.

It was a top-class display from the winner, who had overcome leg and back injuries in the past fortnight.
