| Roger Self, manager of the men's gold medal-winning team in Seoul in 1988, is to replace Anita White as president of the Great Britain Olympic Hockey Board. White, who had held the post since January 2002, leaves after a lacklustre year which saw the men finish ninth in Athens and the women fail to qualify. Self was nominated by the Scottish and Welsh hockey unions. His first task will be to get the home nations to compete as Britain at all major events apart from the Europeans.
