Cracknell out of opener
James Cracknell
Cracknell should be fit again for the Munich World Cup
James Cracknell will miss the season-opening World Cup in Poznan, due to take place from 7-9 May, with a rib stress fracture.

His place in the men's four will be taken by Ed Coode, 2003 world bronze medallist in the eight and 2001 world champion in the four.

British performance director David Tanner said: "The doctors are confident that James will make a speedy recovery.

"[He] has a good chance of being fit to race again at the Munich World Cup."
