Nicol reaches milestone

Nicol reached number one in 1998
Peter Nicol has celebrated his 60th month as number one in the Professional Squash Association's world rankings.

The 31-year-old first topped the list in February 1998 and has not been out of the top-three since that date.

He maintains his lead over fellow Briton Lee Beachill - who won August's English Open - France's Thierry Lincou and Australian David Palmer.

Nicol, who has won 48 titles in total, this week began his bid to win a fourth Hong Kong Open title in five years.
