Australia have named their swimming team for the Athens Olympics amid speculation that superstar Ian Thorpe may yet race in the 400m freestyle. Thorpe false-started during qualifying, ruling him out at that distance, though he made the team at 100m and 200m.
But 400m winner Craig Stevens has left open the possibility of stepping aside to allow Thorpe back into that event.
"I will take a week off and think about it," said Stevens, who also qualified for the 1500m with Grant Hackett.
