Steelers get revenge
BBC Sport Online's Stuart Hughed

Superleague leaders Sheffield Steelers bounced back from Friday's 4-1 defeat by Belfast Giants, beating the Northern Ireland franchise 6-1 on Sunday evening.

Scott Levins recorded his second league hat-trick of the season to pick up the man of the match award for Sheffield.

Levins bagged his first goal of the evening at 18:25 after defenceman Timo Willman had put Steelers ahead with a shot from the blue line.

The former NHL right-winger added his second and third within three minutes of the restart.

Colin Ward finally hit the target for Belfast at 48:43 but Kent Simpson soon put away Sheffield's fifth.

Chris Szysky scored while Giants captain Paul Kruse was sitting out a spearing penalty as Sheffield extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points.

In Docklands, London Knights demolished Bracknell Bees 8-1.

Knights - who fought back from 2-0 down to hold Nottingham Panthers to a 4-4 draw on Friday - took the lead through Kim Ahlroos after nine minutes.

London's second was set up by Mark Kolesar, whose backhander rebounded off Joe Watkins' pads and onto the stick of Ian McIntyre.

Knights hit five goals in the second period.

Dennis Maxwell's short-handed strike was followed by markers from Vezio Sacratini, Greg Burke, Ian McIntyre and Mark Kolesar.

Bracknell scored while short-handed through Tero Arkiomaa at 31:50.

Vezio Sacratini buried his own rebound with four minutes remaining to complete the rout.
