Chester Jets have agreed a new deal with star payer John McCord for the 2002-03 season.

The 29-year-old American helped the club to a domestic clean sweep in his first year at Chester.

The Jets won the BBL Championship, Northern Conference, ntl:home National Cup and the BBL Trophy.

McCord was one of the Jets' key players last year, averaging 22.10 points, 4.27 assists and seven rebounds per game.

He was voted Most Valuable Player in the Jets' 93-82 BBL Championship final success over Sheffield at Wembley Arena in April.
