Nottingham Panthers have continued their recruitment drive for the 2002-2003 season by signing former NHL forward Dody Wood. The 31-year-old, who played more than 100 games for the San Jose Sharks, recorded 31 league points and more than 170 penalty minutes last season with Ayr Scottish Eagles.
Panthers coach Paul Adey said: "Dody is an aggressive, grinding forward who will add to our toughness up front. "He can score goals too, let's not forget that. "He is a versatile player, he can go on the wing or play at centre and he fits the bill as far as we are concerned. "Dody stands at 5ft 11in but plays like he's 6ft 4in," Adey added. | See also: Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Other top Other Sports stories: Links to more Other Sports stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||
