Olympic pair dominate
The gold medal winning duo set the pace
Pinsent and Cracknell on their way to victory
Britain's gold medallists Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell continued their winning form at the Henley Regatta.

The pair completed an easy win over South Africans Roman di Clemente and Don Cech in the Silver Goblets race.

Pinsent and Cracknell controlled the race from the moment they reached the famous island and they went on to win by three lengths in a time of just over seven minutes.

The duo, who claimed success at the recent World Cup race in Vienna, used their superior power and experience to cruise home ahead of the Tridant Rowing Club pair.

They will now face Peter Haining and Nick Strange in Sunday's final.

Haining and Strange had been given no chance against the giant German team of Dietlief Kirchhoff and Roberts Sens in their third round race but overcame the odds to win in style.

"The key is never to believe that you cannot beat your opponent," said a delighted Haining after their victory.
