Russia moved a step closer to the quarter-finals of the men's volleyball with a 3-2 Pool B victory over Italy. The win leaves Russia level on eight points with Italy and Brazil, who have already qualified for the last eight.
Elsewhere, the Netherlands beat Australia 3-0 but France failed to qualify for the next round despite a 3-1 Pool A win over Tunisia.
Poland secured a 3-2 victory over Argentina while Serbia-Montenegro beat Greece by the same scoreline.
