Great Britain swimming chief Bill Sweetenham has backed his team to succeed at the Athens Olympics. Britain failed to win any Olympic medals in the pool in 2000 - the first time that had happened since 1936.
"We're going to kick the ghost of Sydney into oblivion. We've got to make it happen," said the Australian.
"We've got to fight for what's ours. If you sit back and look in at all the facts, you'll see we've got nothing to lose and everything to gain."
The 54-year-old, who coached Australia in six Olympics, will be hoping his theatrical battle cry will boost his team's morale at the Athens Games.
"We've got to swim above ourselves," he added.
"You've got to believe it's your event. Make other people swim your race and don't swim theirs.
"The next few days will test you like never before. There's nothing wrong if you give your all and you know you have fought the best battle."
The Olympic swimming event runs from 14 August to 21 August.
