Iraq's amazing Olympics continued on Saturday when they reached the semi-finals of the men's football after a 1-0 win over Australia. Emad Mohammed's goal on the hour was enough to see his side continue their impressive run in the competition.
Mahdi Karim headed the ball down to Mohammed who hooked it in past goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic with an overhead kick.
They will now face Paraguay in the last four while Italy take on Argentina.
Paraguay beat South Korea 3-2 with two goals from striker Fredy Bareiro and another from Jose Cardozo.
Italy left it until nine minutes from the end of extra time to see off the challenge of Mali 1-0 in a bad-tempered game.
With penalties looming, AC Milan's Andrea Pirlo swept in a cross from the right and Parma's Cesare Bovo glanced a header into the net.
Argentina were comfortable 4-0 winners over Costa Rica with Carlos Tevez netting a hat-trick while Cesar Delgado added another.
