Great Britain head to Greece with their hopes high of repeating their phenomenal success of four years ago. Jason Queally grabbed the headlines in Sydney by winning gold in the one-kilometre time trial.
And he added a silver with Craig MacLean and Chris Hoy in the team sprint.
There were also bronze medals for Bryan Steel, Jonathon Clay, Ron Hayles, Chris Newton, Bradley Wiggins and Paul Manning in the 4000m team pursuit.
Yvonne McGregor completed Britain's medal tally in Australia with a bronze in the 3000m Pursuit.
OLYMPIC HOPEFULS
Nicole Cooke: The Welsh star has qualified for the road race event. She is a double junior world champion, a senior bronze medallist in 2003 and the reigning senior World Cup champion. She is also BBC Wales Sports Person of the Year.

Jason Queally: The reigning Olympic one-kilometre champion, he also took sprint silver four years ago. But he is unlikely to defend his one-kilometre crown.
Bradley Wiggins: The Derbyshire-based athlete was crowned world champion in the individual pursuit in 2003. He then won bronze in the 4000m team pursuit in Sydney.
Chris Newton: Another of Britain's world champions, he took the title in the 2002 points race. He then finished fourth in last year's World Championships.
Paul Manning: He finished behind Wiggins in fourth in the individual pursuit at the 2003 World Championships and was also a member of the team that took bronze in the 4000m team pursuit in 2000.
Chris Hoy: After winning silver in the team sprint at the 2000 Olympics, he has gone from strength to strength. He won the one-kilometre gold at both the World Championships and Commonwealth Games in 2002, and took the world title again in May over the same distance.

Jamie Staff: He has enjoyed a stunning turnaround. A former BMX rider, he switched to the track at the end of 2001 to fulfil his dream of Olympic gold. He has since flown through the ranks and won gold in the Keirin at the World Championships in May. Craig MacLean: The British record holder in the one kilometre, he also won the Olympic silver with Queally and Hoy in the team sprint four years ago. Back then he was second man for the British team but has since switched to lead-off, becoming arguably the world's best in the process.
Victoria Pendleton: The 23-year-old was fourth in the sprint at the 2003 World Championships. She was also seventh in the 500m time trial and plans to compete in both events.
Liam Killeen: The Malvern-based cyclist won bronze in the mountain bike cross-country event at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and is Britain's best bet in the category.
Stuart Dangerfield: The current British time-trial champion was brought into the team after David Millar pulled out because of the doping investigation into him and his Cofidis team.
Other team members: The remainder of the 23 squad members are Oli Beckingsale, Steve Cummings, Emma Davies, Ross Edgar, Roger Hammond, Rob Hayles, Rachel Heal, Jeremy Hunt, Bryan Steel, Sara Symington, Charly Wegalius, Julian Winn.
