Russia's Albina Khomich has become the ninth weightlifter to test positive for drugs at the Athens Olympics. Russian officials said former women's world super heavyweight champion Khomich had tested positive for a banned steroid and been withdrawn.
It was reported on Saturday that two weightlifters had tested positive for drugs, one of whom was said to be Greek bronze-medal winner Leonidas Sampanis.
Indian weightlifter Sanamacha Chanu was also said to have failed a test.
Chanu, 25, tested positive in pre-Games testing for a banned diuretic, Furosemide.
