Russia's Nazyr Mankiev won gold in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition after he beat Azerbaijan's Rovshan Bayramov in the 55kg class final. Bayramov lifted Mankiev to score three points early on but that was soon overturned by Mankiev, who scored the final four points of the first period. The second period ended 2-2 but Mankiev won it - and with it the best-of-three period match - because he scored last. Armenia's Roman Amoyan and Park Eun-Chu of South Korea took the bronze medals.  | 606: DEBATE | Park secured his by beating triple world champion Hamid Soryan in their third-place match, with Mankiev also having beaten the Iranian on his path to the final. Soryan was the biggest favourite in any of the seven classes of the competition, with an aggregate scoring record of 131-31 in the last three world championships.
