Russia face US in semi-final tie

Russia will face the US in the volleyball semi-finals

Russia's men's volleyball team booked a semi-final showdown against the United States after a 3-1 win over Bulgaria.

The United States fought back from a set down to beat Serbia 3-2 and remain unbeaten in this competition.

Meanwhile, Italy defeated Poland 3-2, 25-19 25-22 18-25 26-28 17-15, to set up a semi-final against defending Olympic champions Brazil.

Brazil, who beat Italy in the Athens final four years ago, cruised past China in three sets.
