Tim Don confirmed his good form ahead of the final Olympic qualifying World Cup race in Madrid by winning the Corus Elite Series triathlon at Reading. The Briton held off New Zealand's Kris Gemmell to take victory, with another Englishman Richard Stannard in third. "I'm aiming to make the GB team in Madrid, and this race shows me I'm in the right shape to do that," said Don. Scot Kirsty McWilliams, who won silver at the European Junior Championships last weekend, took the women's race. The 18-year-old headed the race from the off, forging ahead on the bike leg to establish a virtually unassailable lead for the 5km run. London Triathlon winner Andrea Whitcombe ran into second with Heather Jackson in third.
