Video - Dutch beat China to hockey gold

The Netherlands defeated hosts China 2-0 to win their first women's hockey title since 1984.

Second-half goals from Naomi van As and Maartje Goderie gave the Dutch a deserved victory.

Argentina won bronze for the second Games running after beating defending Olympic champions Germany 3-1.

Great Britain's women finished their Olympic programme with a disappointing 2-0 loss to Australia in the play-off for fifth and sixth place.

Madonna Blyth struck the opener for Australia six minutes from half-time after some slack GB defending.

Great Britain had a Sarah Thomas 46th-minute strike disallowed following a video review for being too high.

The Hockeyroos also had a goal disallowed before Hope Munroe drilled the ball home to make sure of the win.
