Croatia's men remain on course to defend their Olympic handball title after beating Denmark 26-24 to reach Friday's semi-finals. There they will meet France who remain undefeated in this year's competition after a 27-24 win over Russia. The other semi-final will see Iceland take on Spain after both successfully negotiated their quarter-final matches. Iceland comfortably saw off Poland 32-30, while Spain were 29-24 victors over South Korea. Goran Sprem chipped in with seven goals and Mirza Dzomba added six as the Croats just managed to see off Denmark's challenge, while Lars Roslyng Chrstiansen scored six for the Danes. Daniel Narcisse helped ensure France remained unbeaten with nine goals in his country's victory. Iceland held off three second-half rallies from the Poles to progress, while four goals from Spain's Albert Rocas during a 7-0 run made sure the Spaniards defeated their Korean opponents.
