Lu Chunlong and Dong Dong guided China to a 1-2 in qualifying for the men's Olympic trampoline final. Lu topped the standings with 72.40, ahead of Dong on 71.70. Ukrainian Yuriy Nikitin, the Athens champion, finished fourth after the two Chinese and Russia's Dmitry Ushakov to book his place in Tuesday's final. Japanese world champion Yasuhiro Ueyama and Athens bronze medallist Henrik Stehlik of Germany both failed to qualify in the top eight.
