Three members of the GB eventing squad will continue their preparations for the Beijing Olympics by competing in Norfolk at the weekend. Reigning champion William Fox-Pitt has entered the Houghton International at Houghton Hall near King's Lynn. He will be joined by fellow Olympic medal hopefuls Sharon Hunt from Bury St Edmunds and Lucy Wiegersma. Organiser Alec Lochore said: "This is a really meaningful international event aimed at the younger horses." | I am really pleased with the cross-country course | "We've got a very good field, we've doubled the entry from our first Houghton International last year with 320 horses coming over the weekend." The four-day event which has a prize fund of 37,000 is being held in and around the Houghton estate owned by Lord Cholmondeley. Lochore added: "This is a beautiful setting especially for the dressage section which is being staged in front of the old stable block. "I am really pleased with the cross-country course which will provide the main attraction on Saturday. "It's quite a stiff course this year, we've tweaked it to provide a tougher test."
